Dogo Argentino or the Argentinian mastiff

Dogo Argentino is a strong, muscular dog, member of the mastiff family. Its distinctive phisical feature is the immaculate white coat, with short, thick and smooth hair.

The inbred aggressivity of Dogo Argentino may be quite difficult to handle, therefor these dogs have to be socialized starting from early ages and they mustn't, by any circumstance, be raised with other dogs of the same sex.

Even though it is strong willed and it has an independent temperament, this dog breed is known for one of the highest level of obedience towards his owner. Loial, brave and highly affectionate, Dogo Argentino is much more than a simple guard dog, being a perfect companion. The race was originally created for hunting and dog fights, therefor these magnificent and noble animals are difficult to control by an unexperienced owner, consequently Dogo Argentino isn't a recommendable choise for begginers who are looking for a first pet.
